Animo Locke II Starts Week 4 Sunday, Sep 28 2008

In one week, Animo Locke II will have been open for one full month. The school is in full swing! Students have homework, teachers are working hard, and administration is managing the whole thing! Last week, we had an excellent Back to School Night. Families were pleased with the level of organization and education at our school! We already are almost half way through the first quarter! Grades are getting updated as well. To check your grades, go to the link on the left side of the page (http://ps.greendot.org/public/). Check the school schedule for the user name and password. If you do not have the schedule, contact the office to get the user name and password. Keep up the hard work Saints!

First Week A Success! Monday, Sep 15 2008

The first week of Animo Locke II was a success! All students came in uniform ready to learn! We started the week going to advisory for the entire day. A.C.T.I.V.E Entertainment came for lunch on Monday with Tommy the Clown and other stars! We started our classes and had almost every single student attend every day of the week. The first week of any school is very important, and we got off to a great start!

Mayor Antonia Villaraigosa, local politicians, church leaders, teachers, students, families, and community members came together to bless Locke High School in an event called “Hands Around Locke.” After singers and guest speakers, everyone present held hands in a circle around the football field while local church officials of all faiths led a general blessing of the transformation of Locke High School. It was a great way to start the year on a positive note.
